The Linerealm GYM
Did I ever stress enough how drawing is an actual muscle you can train? Probably people can't hear it from me anymore, but here I am dedicating another whole collaborative painting just to that statement.
We throw around words like "talent" and "gifted" as if they are random shooting stars that occasionally hit a person, which then magically gets the ability to draw. Meanwhile, with the same statement, we're also not honoring the fact that people spent years developing their craft by maintaining a rigorous drawing discipline.
This jam was wild. With lots of new artists joining for some reps at one of the most epic drawing gym sessions we've had.
With a heavy focus on anatomy, this time, everyone gave their best to shine. Sometimes I'm not sure if the sessions fulfill me so much because of the learning potential or because of the fun and good laughs. Probably both.
The Mass Effect
I find myself zooming on to draw for 10 minutes on my little part of the canvas, and when I zoom out again, I find a thousand new details that have been added that send me on a little journey of discovery.
Everyone is so deeply involved in their little piece of the canvas that the speed at which the image is being created resembles that of a Generative AI. With the difference that it's real artists who are at work creating and responding to the changes in real-time, everyone entering with their own style and humor.
It's fascinating to think that technically this experience wouldnt be possible without Magma.
So we're grateful for the team and the developers who are constantly in exchange with us and are quickly implementing our suggestions and feature demands at an amazing pace.
Like we mentioned in our last article, they even went so far as to name their new platform currency after a magma currency that we came up with in one of our line-realm sessions.
By now, the line realm sessions are getting very packed, and some people are afraid of not getting a spot in a Drawing session. Remember that there will be a chance every week to make it if you arrive early.
