Create a new post - using the new ‘feder’ editor
Once you have created a kollektion, creating a post in your kollektion is a very straight forward process. A simple post or “article” is only one of many kontent-types, like Products, Events & Fundings. All these different kontent types are easily and intuitively editable with our new editor - ‘feder’ (German for: Feather).
For this example we focus on creating a simple article which is the most common use of a kontent type. The best thing about our kontent types is that you can easily switch between them even after already creating a new kontent. That means if you have created an “article” but you wanted this to be a “product” you can effortlessly switch to it in the settings.
Creating Kontent
Once you open the collection you will immediately see a button that says + New kontent. This button allows you to create many kontent types. For now we just create a simple post/article.
To do that you simply click on the button and a new window appears that asks you to enter a title.

Choose a title & kontent Type
The new window asks you to enter a title for your new kontent item. This would also be the window where you can preselect which type of kontent-type you want to create. Enter in your title and press continue.
Extra Note: You might see only one “kontent” type. Thats because of the high platform-maintenance costs we only unlock all unlimited features and kontent types to our development fund supporters.
The post
After pressing continue, you will be immediately forwarded to the editor where you can change and edit the title if necessary. If you’re happy with the title you can now focus on the actual content of the post which can be entered below the title in the “Main content” field.
Click in that field and type… Well, I wont tell you what to write, that’s whole journey by itself, but here’s a little inspiration of how a post can look like.

Segments have a little more space in-between them and are a great way to separate blocks of text and to organise and arrange them. If you don‘t want a new block to be created when hitting enter you can hold Shift while you press enter and feder won’t create a new segment for you but instead do a normal line break.
Formatting & Segment types
This toolbar will follow you wherever you are on the feder-editor and you can click on the individual icons to explore their function. While you might be very familiar with tools like bolding text, crossing or underlining it, there are also some segment types that are more specific to our platform. First we start with the simple ones are as follows.
H2 Chapter Title
h3 Sub chapter title
The H2 & H3 titles have an important function as they will automatically appear in the table of contents as chapter titles. If you scroll all the way up, you will notice that the second segment of this article uses the “table of contents” segment:
. It’s a great tool to create a overview of a longer article. But it’s not a must. Then there are lists:
- Lists
- Are
- Not
- Counting
- Lists
- That
- Are
- Counting
Of course, center aligned text,
And right aligned text.
This very article you’re reading was created using the same feder-editor. After playing around with the formatting you will notice that there are many ways of creatively combining this editor to forge engaging and inspiring posts that work very well on large screens for presentations as well as for mobile.
Column Example (beta)
Columns allow you to spread your text over two columns which can be a very nice way to change the visual rhythm in the reading experience of an article. Just like we do here in this example. We use the column segment by clicking on the column icon all the way right in the toolbar.
Within the column you can add Headings/Images/Lists and any other elements that feder offers, opening even more possibilities of combining segments. In the beginning of this article you see how we used columns for a tutorial like use case.
Images (beta)
We’re just on the brink of exploring the possibilities of presenting images and visual content on konduktum. Given the fact that many artists are using konduktum for portfolios, making of’s and graphic novels, we’re continuing the development to cater more to that audience of creators. As they wish to present their work through a beautiful interface and reader.
To post an image simply klick on the image icon in the toolbar. As we’re in beta it will render within an over boarding canvas in you article, making it great for presentations:

Embeds
The next important tool to create you posts are embeds. For now we focus on youtube and will add a wide array of other embeds, allowing you put together rich articles.
You will see that the embeds will ask for an extra layer of confirmation of the third party cookie policies.
And last but not least on of our favorite segments, the kontent gallery. Because the kontent gallery offers so many different possibilities of using it we cover the functions in a dedicated article! Read here:
We hope you enjoyed the article and it could inspire you on how to use the feder-editor in your next post, article, product, or any project you imagine.
